Electric shocks no more with Microtek RCCB

Electricity has become an indispensable part of our life. Almost all of our modern conveniences are electrically powered which is why it is thought of as a boon to mankind. However, on certain occasions, it can be a bane if not handled properly. There are many significant hazards involved that can jeopardize human life and their safety. Electrocution and fire are the two major risks associated with electricity and in extreme can be fatal. Therefore, it is imperative to be cautious and prevent the recurrence of electric shock by using Microtek RCCB.

What is RCCB?

A Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB) is an important safety measure when it comes to protection from fatal electrical shocks and fire caused by earth faults. It is a mechanical switching device, which can automatically measure and disconnect the circuit whenever a fault occurs in the connected circuit or the current exceeds a predetermined value.

What is the principle behind Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB)?

It operates under the simple principle of Kirchhoff’s law, which stipulates that the incoming and outgoing current in a circuit must be equal. Ideally, the current going through the neutral wire should be equal to the current flowing into the circuit from the live wire. However, when the fault occurs, the current from the neutral wire reduces and the difference between the two is referred to as Residual Current. On detecting this, the RCCB trips off the circuit.

RCCB thus compares the current values that differ between live and neutral wires.

What are the benefits of a Residual Current Circuit Breaker (RCCB)?

• It provides protection from leakage current .
• When the rated sensitivity exceeds its limit, then the circuit is automatically cut off.
• It merely needs a live and neutral connection in order to function, not any earthing or grounding connection.

Why choose Microtek RCCB?

In spite of what many people believe electric shock to be a minor inconvenience, it can be fatal though, especially when working with Low voltage equipment. This is where the most trusted safety solution, Microtek RCCB, plays a pivotal role in protecting from deadly electric shocks and fire caused by earth faults. Microtek RCCB is functionally independent of line voltage Which makes it a perfect device for human protection.
